Your roof, a new source of energy

By installing solar panels on your roof, you permanently control your energy bill.

Why Solar?

- Lower Electricity Bills

Solar energy will not only help you control your electricity but also help you save big bucks on your electricity bills.

- Upturned Property Value

Getting a solar installation can augment the worth of your property due to the lesser electricity bills that come.

- Secured Investment

Solar energy will help you know how much of your capital will be required approximately for electricity expenses, unlike the conventional sources.

- Tax Benefits

Installing solar power in your property will help you qualify for various tax credits – Accelerated Depreciation (S32), for selected sectors MNRE

How can CD penalty be avoided?

  • If your power factor is less than 1 you can improve your output kW per KVA supplied by improving power factor or installing an Automatic Power Factor Controller (APFC Panel). This ensures that you are not wasting any kVA that is supplied to you by your utility.

  • Power factor is unity, but still the CD penalty is levied by the utility, in such scenario, you may have to request your utility to increase the contract demand. Still confused? Talk to our experts [Speak to our Expert]

  • Another option of avoiding CD penalty is by shifting your peak load to a time of day when your load is less.

FAQs

In grid connected rooftop or small solar photovoltaic (SPV) system, the DC power generated from solar panel is converted to AC power using power conditioning unit/Inverter and is fed to the grid.

A 1 kW rooftop system generally requires 10 sq. metres or 100 Sq. feets of shadow-free area. However, actual area requirement may vary depending on the efficiency of solar module, and their placement etc

Rooftop solar PV systems can be installed on any type of roof having sufficient loa bearing capacity.

The installation of solar panels, if done properly, does not cause any damage to your roof and in no way deteriorates your comfort. We are committed to a quality installation with our trained and experienced technicians.

This is false, a photovoltaic installation operates in all seasons, as long as it receives light. Solar production depends on light energy; therefore, a solar panel also produces in the event of rain or cloudy skies, but less than in the sun. Admittedly, a photovoltaic installation will produce more solar energy in a sunny region.

In net metered systems, the generated power is utilized for self-consumption, and excess power is exported to the grid as long as grid is available. In case, where solar power is not sufficient due to cloud cover etc., power is drawn from the grid to power the loads. A bi-directional or net meter record the energy flow in both the directions and at the end of billing period net energy used is calculated. The beneficiary has to pay for only the net energy used.

This is possible in very rare cases because the consumer shall be required to pay some minimum charges like fixed charges, etc. even if the consumed energy is all self-generated. However, ‘electricity charges’, a major component of the monthly bill, can be reduced to zero by optimally designing and maintaining the Rooftop Solar System.

CAPEX Model: Here, the system is owned by the consumer himself and he bears the cost of the system.

OPEX Model: Here, the entire system is owned by the 3rd party project developer. The consumer only purchases the generated energy by paying pre-decided tariff on a monthly basis as per Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Responsibility of O&M for the system lifetime (25 years) is also with the developer.

The photovoltaic panels we use have a lifespan of 25 years and more. They have solid long-term power guarantees (90% up to 10 years and 80% up to 25 years). In a photovoltaic installation, the other important part of the device is the inverter, which converts the direct current from the panels into alternating current that can be used on the network. Its average lifespan varies between 8 and 12 years.

We warrantee 25-year on the performance of our photovoltaic panels. In detail, we give performance warrantee of 90% of the original power of our panels from the 1st to the 10th year and 80% of the original power from the 11th to the 20th year. The inverter, the other centerpiece of the device, is warranted for 3 years.
